Here are some of the Programs & Practices
we’ve Implemented to make our Business Sustainable.

1 WORKING WITH GREEN VENDOR, RMP

At George Chiala Farms and Nature Quality we’ve been working diligently to select vendors who care about our planet and who demonstrate comprehensive Sustainability programs. RMP, one of our packaging suppliers, has scaled back 9.2% of the material on the liners we purchase from them.

At George Chiala Farms and Nature Quality we’ve been working diligently to select vendors who care about our planet and who demonstrate comprehensive Sustainability programs. MAUSER, our supplier of blue drums has made comprehensive sustainability efforts in which they have set some impressive benchmarks.

3 SUSTAINABLE CORRUGATED BOXES

DATE: MAY 20 2015

The corrugated boxes used by George Chiala Farms and Nature are now Sustainable Forestry Initiative Certified. Seaside Packaging, the box supplier, has worked diligently to meet the Chiala family's request to provide greener, renewable packaging materials. Moving forward, all corrugated boxes will have the Sustainable Forestry Initiative Certified logo as well as the Monterey Bay Area Green Business Program logo, which the Chiala family businesses are very proud to be a part of.

4 INDUSTRIAL RECYCLING

George Chiala Farms and Nature Quality initiated recycling programs in 2014 for both Metal and Cardboard waste products. Through these programs, the companies recycled:

70,752 pounds of Metal

522,350 pounds of Cardboard

At George Chiala Farms and Nature Quality we’ve been working diligently to select vendors who care about our planet and who demonstrate comprehensive Sustainability programs.

TOTECO, our supplier of corrugated cartons, currently uses 34% of recycled materials in their packaging.
